Additional Maths

A clear place for students to find topic-by-topic worksheets, revision notes, past paper support, model answers and mixed exam practice for Additional Maths.

Disclaimer: The resources in this section are aimed at the CIE Additional 0606 Maths course. Maths being maths, it will help anyone in any course, but may not fully cover your course.

Topics

Algebra

Algebraic manipulations, algebraic fractions, equations and inequalities (including modulus), simultaneous equations, and substitutions that reduce problems to a quadratic form.

Logarithms and Exponentials

Indices, surds, laws of logarithms, and solving exponential and logarithmic equations.

Quadratics and Polynomials

Quadratic functions, discriminants, quadratic inequalities, factor and remainder theorems, polynomial division, and solving quadratic and cubic equations.

Functions and Graphs

Function notation, domain and range, inverse and composite functions, modulus graphs, and the relationship between a function and its inverse.

Coordinate Geometry

Straight lines and circles, including line equations, gradients, perpendicular lines, circle equations, tangents, and intersections.

Sequences and Series

Arithmetic and geometric sequences, nth term and sums, and the sum to infinity of a convergent geometric series.

Permutations and Combinations

Recognising when order matters, using n!, and solving selection and arrangement problems with permutations and combinations.

Binomial Expansion

Binomial expansions for positive integer powers, use of the general term, and finding coefficients or specific terms in an expansion.

Trigonometry

Circular measure, radians, arc length, sector area, the six trigonometric functions, trig graphs, identities, equations, and proofs over given domains.

Differentiation

Derivatives of standard functions, chain, product and quotient rules, tangents, normals, stationary points, and maxima and minima.

Integration

Indefinite and definite integration, reverse differentiation, standard forms, area under a curve, and area between curves, including split regions.

Kinematics

Motion in a straight line using displacement, velocity and acceleration, with calculus-based kinematics and interpretation of displacement, speed, velocity, and acceleration graphs.

Vectors

Vectors in two dimensions, position and unit vectors, magnitude, vector geometry, and resolving or composing velocities.

Topic Tests

Short tests to check understanding after each topic, followed by worked solutions to review method, accuracy, and exam technique.

Resource Sections

This makes it easy for students who prefer to browse by resource type.

Past Paper Support

Help students target exam questions more efficiently.

Video Solutions

Model methods and clear worked answers for checking understanding.

How to use this page

Pick a topic, start with practice questions, then move to worked solutions to check method and accuracy. For revision, use topic tests once you feel secure on the individual skills.

If you spot something unclear, broken, or incorrect, please report it so it can be fixed quickly.
