Separate normal hours from overtime hours.
- Separate normal hours from overtime hours.
- Multiply the normal hourly rate by the overtime multiplier to find the overtime rate.
- Calculate both amounts of pay and add them. An overtime multiplier applies only to overtime hours.

A worker earns £9.00 per hour for 20 normal hours, then works 2 overtime hours at time and a half. Find the total gross pay.

A worker earns £9.50 per hour for 21 normal hours, then works 2 overtime hours at double time. Find the total gross pay.
