Drawing three-figure bearings.
- Start at north at the point you are travelling from.
- Measure clockwise and write three figures, such as 065°.
- Reverse bearings differ by 180°; keep the result between 000° and 359°.
Example 1
Draw the direction of B from A on a bearing of 025°.
Start at north at A. Turn clockwise through the stated bearing and draw a ray in that direction.
Example 2
Draw the direction of B from A on a bearing of 030°.
